“With growing demand and more projects moving into commercial phases, we need larger, faster and more efficient production,” says Tarras Delin, CEO of Catator. “Taking this step now allows us to stay ahead of the curve. It ensures we can scale efficiently and expand the production before it becomes a critical bottleneck.”
Today, the Lund facility houses offices, labs, R&D and production. Once the move to Science Village is complete, the current site will focus entirely on production – making it possible to optimize layout, flows and capacity for everything from final assembly to proprietary CataLite® Coating procedures.
“As part of Catator’s growth strategy our product portfolio will include much more coating and standardized product delivery,” says Lars Jennergren, Project Delivery Director at Catator. “This upgrade is not just about more space – it’s about smarter production. We’ll be able to scale key processes and secure faster, more predictable delivery for our customers. Our goal is to have the new setup fully operational by 2026.”
Since 1990, Catator has been mobilizing the power of catalysis to accelerate the transition to a green hydrogen economy. With a unique portfolio of patented catalytic technologies, the company enables emission-free hydrogen production, conversion and utilization – powering a new generation of integrated energy solutions. The production expansion in Lund is a natural next step in delivering on that promise at scale.
