Citeno has over thirty years of experience in power generation technology across gas turbines and wind power, principally at General Electric, where he led combustion engineering for GE Power's gas turbine fleet for fourteen years and held executive roles in systems engineering and advanced technology at GE Renewable Energy. A pioneer in low-emission and high-hydrogen gas turbine combustion, he has guided significant investments in new technology and coached numerous technology leaders and executives. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State and advises US clean energy technology companies.
"Joe has first-hand experience of what it takes for an emerging technology supplier to be designed into a global OEM's product program, and of how behind-the-meter power is specified, procured and qualified. That is exactly the perspective we need as we bring our advanced fuel processing solutions for fuel cells to marine, defense and data center customers, and it opens channels to US customers, partners and investors," says Tarras Delin, CEO of Catator.
"Fuel cell manufacturers and system developers need to take complexity and cost out of their systems while improving efficiency, lifetime and scalability. Catator solves that with highly integrated catalytic fuel reforming, and I look forward to supporting the team as it moves from technology leadership to commercial scale," says Joe Citeno.
Citeno joins an Advisory Board comprising John Bøgild Hansen (technology strategy), Mats R. Karlsson (industrial scale-up and governance) and Per Wassén (hydrogen and capital markets).
