Alfredsson served as Chief Executive Officer of Kockums AB from 2009 to 2014, leading and developing operations and strategic direction through a challenging period of the company. He subsequently served as Defense Industry Counselor at the Embassy of Sweden in Washington D.C., and as VP Strategic Projects and Chief Business Development Officer at MilDef Group, where he supported the company’s IPO on Nasdaq. He currently holds board positions in several defense-related companies, including Advenica AB and Scandinavian Astor Group.
As a member of Catator’s Advisory Board, Alfredsson will provide guidance on strategy and business development in the defense sector.
“Catator’s catalytic technology addresses a genuine operational need, providing compact, efficient and low-signature power generation from standard logistics fuels. The technology is well suited for integration into defense programs at both national and allied level. I look forward to contributing to the company’s strategic development in a sector where efficient and low-signature power solutions are increasingly in demand,” says Ola Alfredsson.
The solution is based on Catator’s proprietary technologies developed and refined over 35 years. It has demonstrated high efficiency and robustness in demanding environments and is suitable for integration into mobile and modular defense systems.
Modern defense operations place increasing demands on efficient, low-signature and operationally resilient power. Catator’s approach to decentralized power generation based on reformed logistics fuels and fuel cell technology addresses these requirements by enabling energy generation close to the point of use, reducing signatures and improving survivability on the battlefield.
Alfredsson’s appointment follows the recent strengthening of Catator’s defense offering and reflects the company’s commitment to building an advisory network with direct operational and industrial relevance to its target markets.
